HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY! & You know what I'm thankful for? I'm thankful that my secretary is finally posting after a half year vacation!

I'm also thankful that I'm even cuter now than I was over 6 months ago!

I'm also thankful that my little brother Quincy's big fat head can hold up such a gargantuan headdress, cuz that means that I don't have to wear it!

ITS AN ABSOLUTE TRAGEDY...

& just when everyone has come out & said WHAT? A NEWFOUNDLAND? The most gentle creature out there? Well, thank goodness Murphy the Newfoundland in Roseville, MN just said - "ENOUGH TALK - I'LL PROVE IT!" So yesterday he goes & saves his 95 year old neighbor who had fallen and there was no one there to help her.

There is a huge lesson to be learned from all this - Police teams need to be trained on how to read dog behavior. HAPPY RANDAY EVERY PUP! Its been furever since my mom/secretary helped me blog...I used to have multiple posts weekly - then it went down to once a week Randay - & then I thought it just might be major holidays...& now MONTHS have gone by. BOOOO! Oh - for all of you who wanna know - I've realized my Monkey Stick Brother Quincy is good for at least one thing - a chin rest... still trying to figure out what else...I'll let YOU know when I know...
& speaking of the Monkey Stick - here he is...He's 11 months & 3 weeks... & still a BIG BABY.
I've been doing lots of stuff - but mostly missing all my blogging pals...Oh..& sleeping...
Here is the Monkey Stick when I told him to go out after a rain shower to find a pot of gold...er, I mean, cheese (more valuable to him than gold). He was waiting like a little leprechaun. He sat there forever...& never found the cheese! Bwhahaha! He's so gullible.
& here I am...As awesome as can be. I can still drool so much better than the Monkey Stick. Happy Randay Everybody! Ok...there is another holiday today but I'm NOT celebrating it...cuz my mom/secretary has not updated my bloggy in over a month...her excuse? This Big 'Ole Monkey Stick above...Don't be fooled by his innocent little face...he is a thief! A time thief! Steals all my mom/secretary's time so she can't update my bloggy....& to that I say, boooo!
I've been trying to help out - keep him out of trouble by keeping him on a *very* short leash - which is attached at one end to my mouth...But he's a wiggly little dude...& doesn't sit still long...
So for all you that actually *care* about this Monkey Stick that was brought home to me - He's now five & a half months old & weighs over 75 pounds. Mind you, I'm a nice & sleek 88 pounds - Soon he will be bigger than me...Grrr!
Do not be impressed with his gargantuan sized stomach & gargantuan paws...He's still a wee baby & acts like one...My mom tells me he's an infant in an 8th graders body...& that I need to be patient...Do I look patient? NO!
But, today I had the last laugh - See, since he's a big porkerbelly & slips & slides all over the floors & in his baby crib/crate, my mom bought him a special anti-skid mat...but he doesn't even know how to use it! Ah hahaha!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all you fabulous dog-mommies out there that actually help your fur-children with the 'puter. Maybe next year I will be more generous & give my mom more than a big YAWN.

Sorry I've been so busy teaching my new monkey stick brother that moves too much the ropes on how to be a good little brother...Oh..His name is QUINCY...As in Mr. Magoo...cuz he's kinda wobbly & fumbly & has lots of skin around his eyes & I think he might need glasses...Here's what happened the other day during our Easter photo shoot...his first one...he's such a baby & I'm such a pro!

Pss...a word from MY mom/secretary: Sorry everyone its been a busy couple weeks...Randi's new little brother Kenney (his puppy name - still not sure on what we are calling him) is home & its taken a week..but Randi initiated the first game of bitey face yesterday & they have been playing off & on (with Randi's permission, of course) since then. He's a 4 month old, 55lb explosion of black fuzz. Very laid back & quite a funny little guy - very clumsy! Hoping to get more pics up soon...

I guess MY monkey stick didn't come in orange...He is black...& fuzzy...REALLY FUZZY... & here's an operational manual that came in the mail - which must mean that besides making a lot of honkey honkey noise, he will actually move! Like Pinocchio!...But my monkey stick hasn't arrived yet...I guess he's on back order... So really, I'm not worrying too much about a toy that will honk & maybe move a limb every now & then...

But I guess my mom & dad decided that instead of Fed-Exing my new toy, they are going to drive to get him...so I'm off to my pet resort tonight! For a whole week! I'm super excited...I get to vacation for a whole week & then come home to a huge honking brand new toy!

So I'll be back next week...

WTF Wednesday is right!~ Look what I found in my bedroom today! A MONKEY CAGE! & the only monkey I can even think of coming to live with me that is big enough for his cage is this monkey below:
WALLY'S BIG HONKING MONKEY STICK! If you scroll down on that linky, you can find Wally's most favoritest Monkey Stick! I certain that Wally Angel has sent me this big cage to house a B.H.M.S... & since I've never had the privilage of having a B.H.M.S., he knew I'd need a big honking cage to keep one!

I'm certain that's what the cage is for...I mean, what else could it be???? I've completely IGNORED my mom & dad when they tell I'm getting a little brother...I mean, don't they mean a Big Honking Monkey Stick?

Holiday Card Bloopers...

Well, after a good bubble bath & a tummy full of bribery treats this afternoon, my mom/secretary just ordered 125 copies of my DWB Holiday Card online... Unfortunately, I was not given final approval of the photo chosen, so I'm going to show you my top five choices...My top choice was the amazing photo above...My tongue is pink & amazing...
My 2nd choice was this one...it portrays exactly how I felt after I ate about 183 treats in the span of about 15 minutes...BLEH!

#4 - I am going to title this one..."I am indifferent"....I am art..."
#5 - somehow I was inch-ing forward & inch-ing forward trying to get the treat outta my mom/secretary/photographer's hand & I pushed her over...I think we all agree that she deserved it...

Here I am, reading this book...Ok, well actually I was just smellin' the pictures...lots of fun doggies in this little thing & they are smiling & smiling...It was a gift for my mom/secretary's burpday last Randay...She received it from a wonderful friend of hers who has two boston terriers! Here's a pic of them below! Their names are Jessie (the pretty girl on the right) & JoJo (the handsome boy on the left) Just like Joey & Tanner! & guess what? Both Jessie & Jojo have doofus dots! & Jessie is extra neato cuz she has one brown eye & one blue eye!
They came over to my house for a little play date this fall...

Ok...So here's the deal...Two weeks ago I was stuck with my cousin Winnie the Ninny for four whole days...& WHY, you ask, was I in this predicament?
Cuz my peoples flew across the big USA to hang out in Atlantic City & putz around & eat yummy foodables & drink fun drinkables by pools like the pic above...
Then my mom/secretary was all drooly over this guy...Jacques Torres...of the Jacques Torres Chocolate fame...Eh?...& why would I care about that? ...I can't even eat chocolate anyway...BORING!!!!!! She even had a couple pictures taken with the nice French chocolate chap...here he is demonstrating how to build a chocolate castle for Halloween...BLECH!
& then there was this dude on the right...Mario Lopez...hosting some fashion show & dinner...They only thing I like about him is that he hosts that funny animal trick show on tv...I'm sure I could get on that show...my doga moves are mad crazy!...yet again...nothing to hold my attention...maybe if he would have had a dog fashion show...now that would be something worth keeping my eyes open for...
& then they saw this guy ...Some comic named Jerry Steinfeld... & sat in the audience so close you could spit on him & hit him on the forehead.... YAWN*....*YAWN*....*YAAAWWWNNNN*................
& I'm sure you'd like to know what I did HOME ALL ALONE? Well, I started my own tree & shrub trimming service! ...I specialize in jasmine...the smellier the better....I uprooted two adult plants & shaved them with my teethers to a stubby nub!...Fine work if I do say so myself...I think I had a bit of an inkling that some sort of info was being kept from me...A top secret meeting of DWB CELEBRITIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOLY CANNOLI! ITS NANOOK & POOKA!!! THE NANOOK & POOKA OF NEW(F) JERSEY FAME! Its really them! In flesh & fur!!!
& LOOKIE HERE! That's my mom/secretary with those handsome Newfie Jersey boys!& Here is my dad with Nanook & Pooka!
Aw!!! They are just so handsome! I hope my mom/secretary didn't slobber on the both of you too much...& thank you for the bully sticks! I love them...

Even though she's begging my forgiveness, she says she has a very legit excuse & explaination which she promises to post in the next few days...ANYWAY...Look at this double rainbow! It rained a few sprinkles a couple of days ago & this is what I found in my backyard!

***UPDATE*** Randi's Mom/Secretary here...I was just helping Randi comment on Murphy's blog & then reading Dexter's comment about how there must be a reason for such a pretty rainbow...well, I realized that these Rainbow pics were taken (not two days ago like I wrote above but) exactly two weeks ago on Sept. 29, 2009 - the two & a half year anniversary of Randi's brother/littermate Dublin's crossing to Rainbow Bridge...& the two year anniversary of my stepdad's funeral as well - I know Dublin & my stepdad are looking down on us still - & sent a double rainbow for everyone to enjoy!

Happy Randay Everybody! Oh what a weekend I've had! My peoples had visitors from NEW JERSEY! (or as I like to call it New Shorezee) aka the land of Nanook & Pooka! Happy Randay Everybody! Well, my cousin Winston was dumped on my doorstep this past Thursday morning at 5am! Since it really wasn't necessary for my mom/secretary to go back to sleep, I initiated a big play rough-housing session with the Ninny...stuffie guts were flying everywhere...Its been non-stop growling & hissing & wrestling ever since! Here I am above...minding my own business (which really means guarding my toys with my life...). Nothing is safe from the gooey jaws of the WIN-COM-POOP!

But I've decided since its Randay & Wally Tamale's Moving Day that I'd show a little compassion & let the little Ninny play with one of my bones...

Its my cousin Winston, aka the NOTORIOUS WIN-COM-POOP! The little Ninny came over for some play time today...Of course I didn't share any toys & was a bit of a meanie..but that's what Win-Com-Poop expects out of his wiser, older cousin...(not by blood relation - THANK DOG!)

Unfortunately, this pile of fur is not Win-Com-Poop...its is a pile of MY FUR FURS that my mom/secretary/fur stylist brushed & brushed & brushed from my skinny bod....I was feeling a bit itchie...& it wasn't from Win-Com-Poops cooties which was my first suspicion...but just extra fur that I don't need now that its warm...

On this Randay, I'm thankful that Winston knows that I'm the ALPHA & he's the little Ninny...cuz he's gonna have to remember that when he stays with me for seven whole days later on this week...

Happy Randay Everybody! I'm back from my 2 1/2 week vacation at the doggie resort...The nice peoples at the resort had to increase my food cuz I was running around like a little crazie & losing too much weight! FAT CAMP with extra helpings! The owner of the pet resort told my peoples that I acted like a mother hen to all the other doggies...& I helped out all the time!

I'm just spending a relaxing Randay with my peoples...munching on bones & getting tummy rubs..

I'm Going on Vacation!

Uh Oh! I know what this means...It means my peoples are going away on a vacay & I'm going to the PET RESORT where there are NO CAGES, & just 24/7 PLAYTIME!!! WHOOOO!!!

My mom/secretary said I can chose one toy to bring along...I did some soul searching & decided on my trusty nylabone...I figured stuffies would probably succumb to SSS - (aka Shaken Stuffie Syndrome) & thus leave me toyless...But my nylabone is a faithful friend...& outlasts all others...

Ok, all packed - I'm ready to go! My peoples are going somewhere called Switzerland - the land of yummers chocolate...so my mom/secretary is very excited...I'll see all of you at the end of July!

Happy Randay Everybody! I've been doing lots of relaxing, snoozing, sunbaking & PLAYING today! So much playing, in fact, that I seemed to have lost one of my dear toys!

Since I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE to play with, as you can tell in the above pic, I was quite determined to get my cherished toy that was hiding underneath this silly wooden block...I had to enlist the help of my mom/secretary who had to enlist the help of the fireplace tool thingamajigger that really only gets used to extract toys out from furnitures & stuff...

Oh thank dogness...I thought I lost this precious tennis ball furever!

Now I can play play play all day! Ok...for this next pic...take your little pups OUTTA the room...

Told you! Ok, this is a totally indecent shot of me...but it shows where my bad bad tumor was & the area that was shaved...kinda like a bikini wax! Just in time for summer!

HAPPY RANDAY EVERYBODY!!! Since this was a holiday weekend - it was a DOUBLE RANDAY! Hope everyone had a great time! The above photo was taken last summer of me eating Wally Melon - so its a classic - its the pic I submitted for IKE's Summer Photo Contest...Unfortunately, I didn't win, but Snowball did! YEAH SNOWBALL!

Here is a piccy of me eating Frosty Paws...its from last week - but you can see how my stitches are still in my new circuit panel on my side...My mom/secretary still hasn't dumped new pics onto the 'puter...so hopefully I can get some new pics of my stitch-less body for you this week.

Anyway...My peoples have some friends visiting from New Zealand! Right next door to Opy & Charlie! They are going to Las Vegas tomorrow & I'm gonna stay with my godmother Suzanne - That's where I get my middle name from - Randi Sue!

I'll be out of the office for a few days - Oh - I get my stitches out tomorrow! WHOOO!!!

The vet FINALLY called at 9:00pm tonight! The tumor on my beautiful butt is BENIGN!!!!!! After 6 daying of agony - FANTASTIC NEWS!!!! Someone get my mom off of me! She's squeezing me way too tight & getting me all slobbery with what she calls 'happy tears'... Thanks so all you DWB friends who sent me pawsitive healing vibes!

ITS RANDAY! & no news yet...

Happy Randay Everybody! First of all, I want to send a very heartful THANK YOU to all of you who left very pawsitive & healing vibes on my last post...they have helped me to heal faster & feel better & even though there is NO NEWS YET from my butt-biopsy ...I'm feeling very PAWSITIVE that I'm gonna be OK...I'm eating, peeing, pooping, playing & feeling good! Besides the fact that my ouchie spots are now turning into itchy spots & I've discovered that rubbing my bum on the carpet feels good...but is bad for my mom/secretary/maid cuz she has to clean up a line of blood that oozes from my incision...Notice the sock cozy that is now on my back left footie..thats so I don't scratch my new circuit panel...& the cone on my head is so I don't scratch the ouchie behind my right ear...(found that out the hard way with a bloody mess on my head...)

I've discovered that this cone actually makes me hear lots better! Look at my ears which are like super duper antennas! TUNE IN TOKYO~!

I'm closing my eyes & channeling my inner ZEN here to intercept all your healing vibes!

Ohmmmmmm......Ohmmmm.......Ohm......

Oh - antenna position change....new sounds intercepted....

This is me in a state of healing...or as Wally said..."when I get that feelin'...I need Corgador Healin!"

LumpieBumpie Surgery

Randi's mom/secretary here...this morning Randi underwent surgery to remove 3 lumpiebumpies - one behind her ear (papalloma), one on her left side (lipoma - fatty tumor) & another more serious one on her bum...this one is being biopsied - it could either be a hemangioma or a hemangiosarcoma - please say a little prayer that it is the benign first one - not the horrible "C" word which is the second one. We should have results on Friday. The following pics are a bit graphic...so be aware... Randi's resting comfortably now & came through the surgery well. Here she is above all happy at 7am that I said, "Do you want to go in the car?"

She's probably very hungry here...she didn't even get to eat her breakfast...

She's such a good girl...she takes up the entire back seat...all 87.5 pounds of her...her actual weight this morning since she pooped, peed & didn't have breakfast...

Poor thing...looks likes she had a new circuit panel installed...the fatty tumor was removed from this site.

The papalloma - which looked like a skin tag - was removed from behind her right ear...her left leg was shaved a bit for the IV.

Its hard to see here...but on the right side of her bumbum is where she has about a 4 inch x 3 inch shaved area where the suspicious tumor was...I'm concerned that this is going to be a tough spot to heal, since one of her favorite activities lately was rubbing her bum on the carpet & patio...maybe irritation from the tumor?

So please keep Randi in your prayers...we're trying to keep a positive attitude & only worry when we know we have something to worry about...

On a very sad note, this morning we found out that Randi's brother & littermate ,Gus, who lives on the east coast, has lymphoma...so he needs your pawsitive energy sent his way as well... We found out a few days ago that another one of Randi's brothers/littermates, Dakota, passed away last year of mass cell cancer...so its been chilling news all around...

Two Mourning Doves! I named them Lovey & Dovey...They like to hang out on the fence in my yard...usually I just leave them be & just like to watch them...but today I did something....

My mom/secretary says I was acting really goofy today...Here is proof...She says this is my goofy-newfy face...

Its Not Right, But its OK...

I'm at the Vet....Lube?

LUBE! Oh NO!

A well deserved shopping trip for treatables is only right...

Notice the sock cast on my front left paw paw...I have an ouchie on the inner web of my footie - its infected & now I'm on anti-biotic pill poppers for the next 3 weeks...& even worse, next week I have to be put under to have some too-mers taken outta me...one on my bum bum is kinda suspicious, the vet said...so they have to biopsy that one... I'm not thinking about that at the moment cuz I'm enjoying my peanutbutter filled bone & wiping my snouter on my very own napkin/sock.

**Randi's mom/secretary here...Little Miss Randi Sue needs to have a small thing taken off of her head, another larger fatty lump removed from the left side & a more solid, hard lump about two inches to the right of her bum bum opening....the vets are suspicious of that one as they aspirated it & looked at the cells under a mircoscope...& they didn't look exactly normal...so please think good thoughts...

Happy Randay Everybody! Guess what? I'm helping my mom/chef out in the kitchen...Turns out, all this foodable stuff is pretty easy to do...Watch!

First you need a good apron & a sturdy spoon...

I like to do the good ole toother check...Yep! This is a strong spoon!

Mmm...Nom nom nom....this is yummy...woodables are almost like foodables... Kinda like the sticks I find in my backyard...but this one is smoother & tastier!

Oops...don't tell...but I totally & completely accidently broke the spoon right down the middle by doing my toother testing...My mom/chef brought this spoon back from Tuscany a few years ago when she did a week long cooking course...Not that it did her any good or anything...I guess next time I'll have to stick to stainless steel...

Happy Randay Everybody! I want to dedicate this Randay to my boyfriends who have all had a very big week...(in no particular order except by repect due to maturity)...WALLY who almost had to share his home with a wee baby Rat Pit Boo named Waylon AND posted his 1506th post!... My dear darling PIPPA who has graduated to a strong harness cuz he accidently went on a freedom run when chasing cats & to my little cub, DEXTER LABRADUDE who raised $400 for orphaned doggies today when he walked in a special walkathon with his momma...go wish them all well!

My mom/nursing assistant seems to think I've either matured as well, or have regressed into a wee baby pup myself...see, I won't even lick my own lips anymore after I eat... I either wipe my mouth on her pants or wait for her to wipe my mouth for me...lack of hygiene? NO! I call it INGENIOUS!

Livin off the Fat of the Land...

Hey everybody! Look what I'm helping my mom/gardener with...her herb garden! We are gonna start living off the fat of the land!

Here I am making sure the hole she dug is big enough & deep enough to accommodate the little herbs she's gonna stick in there...

Mmmm...That basil smelly yummy...Can I use some on my dinner tonight?

The next planter is full of hot peppers for my Daddy & the 3rd is full of tomatos! The planter boxes are self watering...so hopefully they can survive on their own...no need for my mom/secretary to kill them...

I'll be bringing you updates on the garden & any little furry friends that decide that its their own neighborhood cafe...Honestly, I was hoping for a hamburger & steak garden...anybody have a meatables plant?

Happy Randay Everybody! I'm pooped out from celebrating the PREAKNESS yesterday! My filly Rachel Alexandra won! GIRL-POWER!!!!! ITS RANDAY! (about time!)

Happy Randay Everybody! Remember me? The beautiful LabraNewfie that has been COMPLETELY neglected in the blogging dept. by my mom/secretary...? Well, I know this Randay is also Mother's Day...but I don't wanna give my mom any airtime, since its been WAY TOO LONG since you all have seen me...So its RANDI-TIME ALL-THE-TIME! I'm gonna tell you about my modus operandi for getting a new stuffie toy...First, I hang out & WHINE by my daddy's office closet door...

I whine & whine & then whine some more until the great door is opened...there are fabulous treasures inside!

Oh! Lookie here! Its a UNICORN! I always wanted a unicorn

Here's where it gets a bit tricky...I don't like the paper bag that the unicornie is in..it crinkles & makes noise...so I whine & bark & tell my mom/personal assistant to fetch it for me...

I'm concentrating REAL HARD & licking my lips to figure out how to get the unicorn to come to me...

Whoops...its fallen & can't get up...I'll help you little unicorn! Where are your magical powers, anway?

Lay still, I almost have you...

I'm outta here!

Two minutes later, this is what my mom/secretary found...The unicorn told me if I close my eyes, no one would be able to see...Ok...that didn't work...so I thought I'd perform an emergency uni-lobotomy & spinal tap...

OH NO! UNI-V-TACH! CLEAR!

Time for triage...I'm not very nimble with my pretty white paw paws, so I leave the work to my in-house nurse...

Geez, she is SLOW....

I'm W*A*I*T*I*N*G!

My mom/nurse does a good job...hardly a scar...but unfortunately, the unicorn lost both ears in my botched operation...

The spinal tap didn't go as planned either...so this might take a while...

A few more stitches & the unicorn will be good as new!

Yeah, right...new for about 4 more minutes!

This Randay I was playing HOOVER...I was sucking up all the foodables that dropped on the kitchen floor as my mom/secretary/chef was cooking up lots of foodables to be consumed by other peoples coming to my house...we had steak...& I don't even have piccy of me eating the steak..my mom/chef was too busy doing cheffy stuff...

On this Randay, I'm thankful for steak & for the peoples that don't live at my house, but that come to my house to visit & think its competely acceptable to veto my own mom & dad's instructions about NOT feeding me under the table when no one is looking...

Happy Randay Everybody! Guess what? I'm chillin' at home on this Randay with my Daddy! My mom went to Minnie-Apple-Less to meet my new human pup cousin - Baby Kate! She's already 3 months old...I bet she'd love to play with my tennis ball!

Another guess what...I have a bicep tendon shoulder injury...I saw a super duper doggie surgery specialist & he thinks with a little R&R & some Rymidal for the next 4 weeks that I should do OK...if I don't its more serious & I don't wanna think about that right now...

So on this Randay, I'm thankful for my Daddy who is WAY MORE easy to use trickery on & get lots of treatables!

Happy Easter Randay Everybody! Hope everyone had a visit from the Easter Bunny & got lots of yummables in the form of carrotables, eggables & meatables...

Here is my long overdue (blame my mom/secretary...) image of me dining in my new dining digs...At first I was very angry with my mom for getting me a new set up...I didn't even want to eat out of it...cuz I thought my last one was just fine...see last weeks Randay for that piccy...

My mom/waitress was sick of cleaning up my carrot spillage & decided I needed a new dining situation...but turns out this one is just as messy, cuz I like to have my mouth full of carrots, wet food & dry food & then dribble it all outta my mouth & onto the floor...but now I like it & it jives really well with my peoples dining room furniture...

On this Randay, I'm thankful that the Easter Bunny did not get caught in the humane trapper that my mom has set for the funny squirrels in the yard that keep making her say bad words.

Happy Randay Everybody! Its been TWO WHOLE WEEKS since my last post! That's just plain wrong...but I let my mom/secretary take a bit of time off from my blogging business...she had a friend from Minnie-Apple-Les here for a week...They wanted to just have a relaxing time...& here is what they did...(with my supervision, of course...)

They drank red juice & nibbled on crunchy crackers & cheese while they talked & laughed & laughed...

Then they made more foodables in a fire pit at night...the white mushy things looked really good! See my white paw paws on the right? I glow in the dark...

Hey! Any thing in that foodie pit for me? Dad always give me stuff...

My mom is harder to trick than my dad...she doesn't hand out foodables easily...

This was dessert one night...smores & coffee...

After working out, they would make pretty lunches...they called it SPA FOOD...

This photo is not up to my usual editing standards...but I was showing them my new doga pose...& balancing on only one footie! Its super hard & should not be tried at home...only doga guru masters like myself should even attempt such a difficult pose...

This doga pose is called 'Pooped Out Puppy'...

For this particular evening feast, they made pizza in the fire pit...no meatables were had by me, cuz they didn't even put meatables on the pizzables! Where is my dad when I need him?

My mom's friend thought my holiday card wall was neato...Yes, my mom/secretary/interior decorator has not taken down my cards yet...I look at them when I eat!

Ok...here was my highlight of the week...do you see the little animal on the sidewalk by the cottage door? Bigafy the pic if you need to...He's been hiding under the cottage & seeking to destroy my mom/secretary/gardeners favorite plant...

Her beloved gardenia...he completely messed up the landscaping fabric under the rocks & was munching away at the gardenia...needless to say, I just watched him... I was taught never to approach wildlife...

So, my mom set up a humane trapper & caught the little dude...SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!

Aww Mom, can't I keep him? He was a successful participant of the Randi Catch & Release Program...his new home is a lagoon near my doghouse...but you know what? I think he's back!

HAPPY RANDAY EVERYBODY! Its been a very relaxing Randay here at my doggie-house...Lots of bellyrubs, sun tanning & treasure hunting under the furniture...& I can say that my mom/secretary is quite horrible at cleaning up all the dust bunnies...I tell her all the time, I like STUFFED BUNNIES...not DUST BUNNIES! Do you see what I see under the chair?

If I was only a *little* smaller, I could totally crawl underneath & get that bone...

Look that these filthy floors! How can a diva such as I live in such SQUALOR? I finally made my mom/secretary crawl on her belly & get that bone for me...its the least I can do...she was wearing a black sweatshirt (of course,she must match my daily attire) & the dust bunnies turned her gray!

& lookie what I had for dinner tonight! STEAK!!!! I didn't get to sample any of the yummer cornbread, but thats OK...I had steak & chicken! As long as the floors are dirty, but my belly is full of meatables, I'll tolerate these conditions...

On this Randay, I'm thankful for all of our DWB friends who are keeping Lulu & Bogart in their thoughts & prayers & wishing them comfort & sending them healing vibes...you've both been in our thoughts all week...

HAPPY RANDAY EVERYBODY! This is a VERY special Randay cuz my mom/secretary is posting about her meeting with SATCHEL & ANDREW THE NEWFS! She was in San Francisco at the beginning of Feb. with my Grandmamama & arranged to meet these two handsome boys! Here is Satchel with my mom/secretary...

& here is Andrew! (aka AN-DROOL - not sure why they call him that....) He is sweeter than sweet! Just a little love bug... I'm pretty sure that drool on Andrew is from my mom...she was drooling ALL OVER them...

Its been quite a week & I'm exhausted...I've been running my Grandmamamma ragged by making her rub my belly & rump for hours on end...I think her hand is numb...maybe I should give her some of my glue-co-so-mean treats... Plus my mom/secretary can't get the picture program on the puter working...its says it can't upload my new photos...which is a total bummer cuz today I raided the rice crispies box & found a new toy inside...& it all captured on film!

I have been sneaking on the puter & watching the results of the utter famous MANGO-MINSTER happening on the East Coast...& what a show it is! Mango & Dexter's MOMMA deserves the MOMMA OF THE YEAR award...for all her hard work & effort...

Happy Randay Everybody! Its been a superduper pawsome Randay here at my doghouse...My dad's FAVORITE Footie Ball Team the STEELERS won the Super Duper Bowl & my dad's FAVORITE Singer BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN sung at halftime! Here I am helping keep harmony with Mr. Springsteen...

& I had a bath just before this too...so I'm a little nekked with out my collar! That Mr. Springsteen can sure run around on the stage like a young pupper! He's from the land of Nanook & Pooka in case you didn't already know!

Whew! All that singing made me real tired...so then I decided to do some more sofa snoozing...

Then my dad was making lots of noise when there was only 3 minutes left in the game...he woke me up! Shhhh! Dad! I'm trying to snooze!

But then his favorite team the STEELERS won the game anyway...& I went back to snoozing...

On this Randay, I'm thankful for all the favorite things that make me smile...like a happy Daddy & a soft sofa!

Seizures?

Randi's mom/secretary/nursing assistant here...Today Randi had another one of her drooling episodes...more severe than the past...Around 11:45am Randi became very agitated & stressed & immediate clung to my side...I took her into the living room & sat with her on the floor...she was literally sitting in my lap...all 90 pounds of her...She hadn't started to drool yet, but she was doing a few things that were entirely new in comparion to past episodes...she started moving her jaw like she was chewing gum - over & over & then kept licking her lips...she would sit up & then sit in a lying position & then lick her paws - almost like she was making sure they were still there...her pupils were dialiated, her heart rate was sky high & her body temp was very warm. She was extremely needy & stressed - bewildered is the word...I don't know if I saw her tremble at all...maybe just a shiver-like tremble...& then the settled down after a few minutes & just wanted to be held...She ate lunch around 1pm after she calmed down & continued to drool for then next 5 hours...napping off & on...we went on a short walk around 4:30pm & she ate dinner around 5:15pm...so her appitite & mobility are good. I contacted Dublin's former renal specialist & mentioned all the symptoms to her...she thinks it could be signs of partial (or focal motor) seizure...Meaning a seizure that is not so severe that she loses consciousness, but bad enough to stress her out. Another thought she had was that if Randi's episodes coincide with her meals since she is on a high protein diet (and dogs with liver issues, or some other problems with protein metabolism specifically urea acid cycle defects) they sometimes have "spacy" episodes after meals and drool. The vet specialist reassured me that is sounded scary, but it most likely isn't, so not to worry.

Please keep Randi in your thoughts & send pawsitive vibes her way...She was so stressed today it was beyond belief...I'll keep you all updated...She's napping sweetly on her bed at the moment.

My mom/secretary was supposed to post these on Tuesday when Mr. Obama took his new job...but she didn't...anyway...Here is Mr. President Obama looking down on me & promising to take extra special care of all the puppies in the USA & hopefully elsewhere too...

I'm looking forward to meeting the new puppy/doggie the Obama peoples are gonna adopt...maybe Mr. President Obama can join Dogs With Blogs & write a weekly bloggy from the White House...

Happy Randay Everybody! First off...I'd like to dedicate this Randay to POOKA - aka Pooka Casanewfa...who's testing for his therapy doggy certificate today! Good Luck Pooka! You can do it! So I started drooling again on Wednesday & my mom/secretary took me to the vet...nothing wrong with my teethies...or my temperature... & they stole some of my blood & my inner poopies which is so not cool - but all those tests came back normal...the vetties think if could be a few things - like from my skin antibiotics making my tummy upset & causing nausa...or a ulcer somewhere or something from with my esophagus...so I have to take antacids 2x a day...& hopefully that will help...but I just started drooling again a bit tonight after I ate...

Its been a pretty low-key Randay...just lots of snoozing on my outdoor beds & some ball throwing...& tonight I was able to play ball under a very pretty sunset!

Do you see me spying on the neighbors? My bro Dublin used to do that all the time at night..he was such a voyeur!

Happy Randay Everybody...well, yesterday I had my 2nd bath of the week & my skin feels better & its keeping the itchies away...so this good...what is bad, though, is that I've been feeling kinda cruddy...

A few days ago I didn't feel so good so my mom/secretary just snuggled with me on the couch for a few hours...

Then yesterday I started drooling & just wouldn't stop...I made a few puddles on the carpet & tile floors...

I'm eating OK though...so no problem there... I think I'm just gonna continue to rest today...

In the sunshine...sorry to all you who've been slammed with more snow...I'd gladly take some..

***from Randi's mom/secretary: Randi has done this in the past where she'll just start drooling & its like a little faucet turned on in her mouth...She's not panting when she does this, nor pacing or any other 'nervous' action...just a bit clingy & wanting affection & attention...In this past its happened maybe once every few months for no more than 10-15 minutes. Yesterday she did this almost all day...I've researched on the net..."possible pain, toothache, sore throat..." but nothing really definate. She's better today...wanting to play this morning...eating well (of course) & just napping... any ideas? I've asked the vet & they really can't pinpoint anything either...***

Flakies & the Notorious V.E.T.

Hey everybody...here I am trying to make an escape while at the V.E.T. the other day...I've had lots of flakies on my beautiful black fur furs & being the diva that I am, I like to be well coiffed at all times...

I'm trying to relax & read a bit of Dog Fancy, but I don't like the sound of the wimpering doggies in the other room...not a very peaceful place while I'm trying to get my hair treated for flakies...

Verdict? A dumb-dumb bacterial infection that will be treated with a month long course of antibioticables & baths 2 times a week with a special shampoo...

WHAT? I don't know why those silly bacterias like to take refuge in my furs...my mom/secretary seems to think it has something to do with my love to basking in the grass & roaching & maybe getting little bug bites that I like to scratch...but I'll never tell...

For now, I'm only allowed to back on the carpet in the sun or on my new Coolibar doggie beds outdoors...

Today is my little cub DEXTER LABRADUDE'S FIRST BURPDAY! Everybody go wish him a happy happy day!

ITS MY BURPDAY!

Today's my BURPDAY! I'm 8 in human years! Do I look more mature & soo-fist-o-cat-ed? I've had the bestest day for my burpday...I did a little relaxin' in the sun...my mom/secretary didn't catch my roaching action...but you should have seen all the grass on my back!

My mom/secretary/personal chef made me a burpday cake this morning...I appreciated her effort & all...but when my dad came home...he brought me this....

THE BESTEST BURPDAY DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER CAKE! Sorry mom...I'll eat the other cake later...

GIMME THIS CAKE INSTEAD!

Nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom.....mmmm! SO GOOD!

Then I settled in for a little bully stick relaxin'.....

Then it was time to sample the other burpday cake...notice the frosting on my nose for the cuteness effect...I sampled some of this cake, but have to admit, the cake my dad brought home was WAY better!

& my burpday presents arrived via the UPS dude about 4 seconds ago...2 Coolaroo Outdoor Pet Beds...Now I can keep one on the grass & one on the patio! Dear Santa...I want a Wake 'n Bacon alarm clock...This is what the linky says, in case you don't know what it is...

The Wake n' Bacon is a collaborative alarm clock design by Matty Sallin, Daniel Bartolini and Hsiao-huh Hsu. It wakes you up with the delicious scent of bacon instead of beeping. How?
A frozen strip of bacon is placed in Wake n' Bacon the night before. Because there is a 10 minute cooking time, the clock is set to go off 10 minutes before the desired waking time. Once the alarm goes off, the clock it sends a signal to a small speaker to generate the alarm sound. We hacked the clock so that the signal is re-routed by a microchip that in responds by sending a signal to a relay that throws the switch to power two halogen lamps that slow-cook the bacon in about 10 minutes.

Happy Randay everybody! I've been doing lots of snoozing on the couch while my dad watches football...Here's my paw paw hanging over the edge...very comfy...

Then I decided it was time to search for some toys...I knew exactly what I was looking for...cuz I don't have that many stuffies...(I'm very neglected as you can tell)...

WHERE ARE YOU? I was going for a theme today... no matter what I pulled out...it just wasn't what I was looking for...

Found them! My exotic Chinese baby panda & my zebra...Lookie! We all match!

Then after all that digging, it was time for lunch...I'm happy my mom/secretary as been keep up with my dining decor dedecoration with my holiday cards! I love it!

Happy Randay everybody! Its been a lazy day here...Good job to everyone who guess that I gave ELMO a tongue bath in my last post... Here he makes a very good pillow...

I've been doing lots of this today... Usually, I'm not allowed on the couch very much, but I've vee-toed that rule...Now the couch is mine...

Come to think of it...the carpet is mine too...& Elmo makes a good napping buddy...

On a much more serious note, my peoples have been very sad this weekend because of some very tragic news...a friend of my mom's for 20 years, his parents home burned to the ground in MN on Friday night. His father was able to make it out, but his mother & their two dogs did not... Its a horrific tragedy...the cause of the fire is still not known...So on this Randay, I want you to please double check your fire alarms & review your family escape plans...because people & pets are priceless. Please send prayers & pawsitive energy their way...

A Gift from My Little Cub

Guess what came in the mail yesterday? A gift from my little cub Dexter! Here he is posing with his big bro Mango for their holiday card. I was so excited that I was sniffing & sniffing & I just new there were pawsome goodies just for me!

Nom nom nom....a yummy cheese-filled bone & pawlidays tennis balls! My favorite!

Thank you little Dexter Labradude! You know just what makes a (mature) girl like me happy! Here I made my mom take a pic of me with the yummy bone & little Dexter on the right...Sorry Mango...you were just a bit to huge to get in the pic...hope you don't mind...

But Mango must have had a bit of say in telling Dexter what to send...cuz here I am making my own suds! Not to be confused with the high quality Mango Suds...but suds they are!

Thank you again, Dexter! I was having a bad day cuz my mom/secretary has the flu sickies & she didn't play with me all day...but when your package arrived, she rolled off the couch & helped me open the package & let me play with the bone & balls for hours!

Here I am above helping her get rid of the flu sickies...I hear that rubbing a lab/newf behind the ears for 3 hours straight is the bestest cure there is!

After lunch I've been relaxing in front of the tv... & then I found this on ESPN! A border collie doing agility! I was sure I could find him .... maybe he'd want to play...

Do you see me behind the tv? He wasn't there...I checked...for like 15 minutes...but he never showed up...

So now I think I'm gonna nap & get belly rubs from my mom/secretary...& then visit all of you later!

ITS RANDAY! (about time!)

HAPPY RANDAY EVERYBODY! I'm back! My peoples returned from China last week...it took them days to get over their jet-wag... I should know, when I fly on Aire-Ruby, I am exhausted from wagging my tail on the jet...I don't know what they were wagging...they don't have tails...maybe they were flapping their arms...whatever...

But since my peoples return, they have been suffering from P.V.P.G. - now, I know that sounds like some unwanted souviner you might pick up in the Red Light District of Amsterdam...but it actually stands for Post Vacation Pet Guilt...& ITS AWESOME! Seems that my ma & pa were so overcome with guilt once they realized how crazy it was to leave me for three weeks...but I'm reeping the benefits of this disorder...I've started an intensive therapy program of belly rubs, rump rubs, ear rubs, tennis ball throwing & general snuggling...seems to be doing the trick...my peoples are on the road to recovery & hopefully will never leave me again...

My mom/secretary has promised me to be a better secretary...more blogs & more visits to all of you...plus I had my DWB holiday card photo session yesterday...It was my mom/secretary's burpday yesterday as well...but I told her under no circumstances could she have the day off...so it was spent decorating the Christmas tree & getting a very cute pic of me in all my black & fuzzy glory...

On this Randay, I'm thankful that my people are home.

Hey Everybody! Here I am all ready for Halloween in my bunny costume...I hope Air Ruby is on its way to come & pick me up & bring us to the Tower of London... Remember, my little cub, Dexter, is going as a bunny too! & I'm bringing carrots for everyone!

Since I'm going to be hanging out in London with all my DWB pals, my peoples thought it would be a good time for them to get away too...so they booked a flight to China! Since my mom/secretary hasn't been very responsible lately (hence my lack of blogging) here is what she has done to prepare me for their absence...

Once I return from London, I'll be left to fend for myself...a bucket o'food & some water...& once I eat through my rations, I'll just head to Win-com-poop's house & ransack his kitchen...

My peoples will be back in 3 weeks to help me catch up on my blogging backload...See you all in London!
